DescriptionWhether or not this group mapping is active, and may therefore be used for obtaining RP or mode information. A group mapping is always inactive if another mapping with a higher precedence (that is, a lower value of pimSmGroupMappingPrecedence) covers the whole group prefix of this mapping. Otherwise, a group mapping is always active unless there is at least one other mapping with the same precedence and the same group prefix as this mapping. In this case, one or much such mappings are active; if more than one, the PIM hash function is applied to the subset of active mappings to select one to use for an individual group within the prefix.
