DescriptionThe value of tmnxPortHoldTimeDown is used to configure the hold-timer for link down event dampening. This guards against reporting excessive interface transitions. This is implemented by not advertising subsequent transitions of the interface to upper layer protocols until the configured timer has expired. A value of zero (0) indicates that a down transition is reported immediately. The value of tmnxPortHoldTimeDown is not applicable when tmnxPortClass has a value of 'sonet (5)'. In that case, tmnxSonetHoldTimeDown is used instead.
