DescriptionA (conceptual) table utilized by a LECS to map a registered Route Descriptor of a LEC to an ELAN name. This table is used by the LECS to assign a LEC to an ELAN. It is, however, not mandatory for all configurable LECs to be in this table as they may opt to use the lecsAtmAddrConfigTable or lecsMacConfigTable instead or perhaps rely on the default ELAN set in the lecsConfigTblTable. Also note that a LES may opt to use this table to determine authorization of a LEC to join an ELAN.
