DescriptiontmnxMDAChannelsInUse is applicable for SONET and TDM MDAs only. It indicates the total number of leaf SONET paths, TDM channels and bundles on the MDA which are in use. A leaf SONET path or TDM channel which is currently capable of passing traffic is considered to be in use. Also, a SONET path or TDM channel which is channelized and has no subchannels capable of passing traffic is considered to be in use. A SONET path or TDM channel which is channelized and has one or more subchannels capable of passing traffic is not considered to be in use, although the subchannels themselves are considered to be in use. A bundle is considered to be a channel in use as are each of its members since they are TDM channels capable of passing traffic.
