| Description | This object contains the Internet Address of the primary
DHCP server the MTA uses during provisioning.
The type of this address is determined by the value of
the pktcMtaDevDhcpServerAddressType object.
When the latter has the value 'ipv4(1)', this object
contains the IP address of the primary DHCP
server. It is provided by the CM to the MTA via the DHCP
option code 122, sub-option 1, as defined in RFC 3495.
The behavior of this object when the value of
pktcMtaDevDhcpServerAddressType is other than 'ipv4(1)'
is not presently specified, but it may be specified
in future versions of this MIB module.
If this object is of value
0.0.0.0, the MTA MUST stop all provisioning
attempts, as well as all other activities.
If this object is of value 255.255.255.255, it means
that there was no preference given for the primary
DHCP server, and, the MTA must follow the logic of
RFC2131, and the value of DHCP option 122,
sub-option 2, must be ignored. |
